If you believe we have missed a question that needs to be answered, please ask it on this board and it may or may not be added to the FAQ.
Q- What is Warriors?
A- It is a book series written by Erin Hunter.
Q- Who is Erin Hunter?
A- Erin Hunter is actually a pseudonym, or pen name, for four different people who write the series, as well as Seekers and Survivors.
Q- What is a roleplay, or RP?
A- It is an activity in which you create your own characters - in this case, cats - and write about their adventures and experiences along with other people in a community.
Q- How do I get started?
A- First, be sure that you've read the rules and plot. Then, create your account and be sure that you remember your username and password. As always, never give out your password... nobody will ever need it for any good reason! Afterwards, head over to the character creation and copy/paste the character profile format into a new thread, fill it out, and post it. Eventually, it will be accepted or denied by staff and you will be able to roleplay once it's accepted!
Q- What do I do once my character is accepted?
A- You begin to roleplay. You can post in an open thread or plan out a new thread with another member. You may even be approached by StarClan or the Dark Forest, if you've requested to roll and your score was high enough. (Read a few questions ahead to see what this means.)
Q- What do I do if my character is denied?
A- No worries, just please fix what the staff member who denied you asked you to fix and you should be all set.
Q- What's a gary stu/mary sue?
A- They are perfect characters with no flaws. If you're told you've created one, please be sure to add more to the weaknesses section and/or subtract from the strengths. Also, add some flaws to the personality, such as impatient, humorless, rude, skittish, etc.
Q- What does "roll" mean at the end of the profile form?
A- You answer yes or no. If you answer yes, then an admin or manager will roll a D20 (twenty sided die) twice to see your character's involvement with StarClan or the Dark Forest. A one is complete disinterest while a twenty means that your character is practically the center of a prophecy. If it is significant, your profile may be posted on by either account to tell you how your character is involved. Please do not request a re-roll or anything of the sort.
Q- What do I do if my character is involved in StarClan or the Dark Forest?
A- You will be told if you're affected or not, and how. If we don't say it happens, it doesn't - for the most part, play your character regularly.
Q- What do I do if I choose not to have the dice rolled?
A- You don't do anything, then. This means that your character is average; neither is particularly interested in your character, but neither is actively avoiding them either.
Q- What if I changed my mind and don't want to be involved in either?
A- I'm sorry, but you've made your decision. Your character may resist the dreams from StarClan or the Dark Forest, but it's basically inevitable that they will be involved if they rolled a high number, ESPECIALLY if it's in the Dark Forest.
